The more astute of you will have noticed that I haven’t posted for a while, well after a long business trip and our annual summer holidays I’m back. I’ll do my best to catch up in the coming weeks… Fujifilm X100 Fujinon f2 23mm Aperture and NIK Sorry this was the romantic one!
… and back to digital and I think for the duration. Just pottering around the garden looking for inspiration and trying to find my photography way. Canon 5D Canon 24-105 mm 1:4 IS or Canon 50 mm 1:1.4 or Canon 70-200mm 1:4 Canon Speedlite 430 EXII and Yongnuo Aperture and Nik
There is much talk about the “Energy Turnaround” here, especially after Fukushima. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether it’s beneficial to the environment or not…. I’m trying to rekindle my love with my Canon 5D at the moment and that coupled with my incompetence with my last roll of film means that you’re getting digital images remastered as Kodak Portra 400 nc (Natural Colour) this week. Canon 5D Canon f4 24-105 ISO 320 Aperture and Nik
….which all depends on your point of view of course! I’d like to credit whoever was responsible for these works of art, but I don’t unfortunately know who created them. But if you happen to be in the area they can be found here Graffiti Zenza Bronica ETRS Zenzanon f1:2.8 75mm Kodak Portra 400 Epson Perfection V500
Last week was supposed to be the last of the gloomy winter posts, well forget it! Spring did appear for a couple of days and probably decided it was definitely too cold to come out. The promise kept was from Week 41 – Werderscher Damm last year, when I said I’d be back! I won’t make any more promises about the weather, promise! Took a stroll with the “Big Man” on the hunt for photo opportunities. Me with my Bronica and him with his Canon EOS 1000fn which we got from a flea market for just a few Euros. I spent a while at the beginning of the year thinking of a new subject for another 53 weeks of blogging and came to the conclusion that I was perhaps better off leaving it open to give me a little more freedom. Well to […]
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Taken from “For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon 11th November 2012 Südwestfriedhof Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery (Stahnsdorf near Berlin)
Another short break on the Baltic coast. I feel as if this is one of the best shots I’ve taken in a long time, I don’t know why, it just feels right somehow. What do you think? This is actually Wustrow and not Ahrenshoop (which is just down the road) ….. sorry folks!
or even the night of the palaces. This is an annual “cultural feast” during which the Sanssouci Park opens its gates to visitors well into the night. The palaces are ablaze with light and classical music resounds from every corner, this is rounded off with a fantastic firework display at midnight. We managed to sneak on the eve of the occasion while all was quiet for a quick nosey.
BER is the international code for the brand new single airport in Berlin. It was due to open today and my folks would have had the pleasure of flying from it for the first time. But hey-ho it wasn’t to be, I just hope they’ll finish it by March! This was the week that I officially turned into an old man! Thanks for the great birthday everybody!
